News Media Europe appoints Wout van Wijk as Executive Director

Wout van Wijk will be joining News Media Europe, the association of the modern news media industry in Brussels, as Executive Director on 1 July. Wout replaces Martin Kala, who had been involved with News Media Europe as a consultant since the association’s launch in January. He joins the newly established trade association having previously worked as senior EU public affairs manager at tech company Huawei.

Wout will be joined by Francesco Vinci, who was appointed as Policy Advisor. Prior to this, Francesco worked as consultant at acumen public affairs, managing clients in the technology sector.
