In a conflict as serious as the one unfolding in Ukraine, free and unhampered reporting by national and international media remains of utmost importance. As lives of civilians depend on the free flow of accurate and timely information, it is vital that journalists can do their job in safety.
News Media Europe urges all parties involved to guarantee the safety of all independent journalists on the ground, both physically and online, to allow for free reporting by the press.
